    2x Triangle & Triangle Hole, in luan and acrylic

    Get equipment setup

    Take photos of site, workshop, etc

    Laser cut some shibori pieces (triangle, square, triangle hole, square hole)

    Cut fabric strips

    • synthetic cotton blend, sheer fabric. arashi (pole), itajime (folding)
      • triangle in luan, acrylic - 30 min (folded & sandwiched) (2)
      • mini triangle luan one side, acrylic other side (folded & sandwiched) - 5 min(1)
      • triangle outline in luan & acrylic (folded & interleaved) - 5min (1)
      • arashi - 30 min (1)

    Iterate designs

    • OMAR sewing or template?
      • Laser cut letters then sew around
      • Laser cut letters with holes then poke through
      • Laser cut letters then clamp.

    Synthetic blend: folded and wrapped around dowel - 30 min

    Cotton shirts: triangle folds until arms

    • Small: clamp plus acrylic solid
    • Medium: rubber band and acrylic outline
    • Large: rubber band and wood

    Overnighted three designs, in navy blue, to see how far the designs would seep through.

  • Sat

    Egg, batik wax with canting, and batik wax with stamp. Stamp needs a handle. It's pretty hot in that melted wax. 😮

    Winged it, and I realized I need to do more research in order to figure out how to set the dye without melting the wax. (very faded colors)
